The Brumbies have reached an agreement to play all home games at GIO Stadium for the next five years.
The ACT franchise confirmed the deal on Friday afternoon and Brumbies CEO Michael Jones expressed his pleasure with the agreement.
“This agreement is a fantastic result for our fans,” he said.
“It brings increased benefits to the Brumbies and ACT government and most importantly our fans.”
Jones said the franchise was committed to playing at the stadium in the long-term.
“The Brumbies’ greatest moments were recorded at the stadium, most notably our two Super Rugby titles in 2001 and 2004.”
Brumbies commercial manager Simon Chester said the territory government and the club were looking forward to playing matches at the Canberra stadium.
