Coach is set to debut Stuart Vevers first men’s wear collection during
the upcoming London Collections: Men this January.
The British designer was first tapped as executive creative director
for the US accessories label last June and will show Coach’s complete
ready-to-wear collection on 9 January. “This is the first big step in
the right direction for men,” Vevers admitted to WWD. “I want to
create something that will have an impact and make people sit up and
take notice.”
Vevers added that he decided to show in London rather than New York
because he aims to “take it out of context,” and presenting his first
collection overseas “feels like a special way” to introduce it.
“London is the standard-bearer of classic men’s style, but always
encourages the next generation of talent. Though Coach is American to
the core, that juxtaposition is the essence of our brand: blending the
established with the cool.”

Although Coach currently offers a select number of outerwear and
knitwear items, Vevers collection is said to be “a reset of Coach’s
men’s wear proposition” and will “deliver a strong fashion point of
view.” The men’s wear RTW collection consists of roughly 20 pieces,
with its main emphasis on outerwear.
However there is also a smaller leather goods collection, a footwear
collection which was first launched for men this fall as well as
watches and accessories as the American label continues to develop its
product assortment to achieve its goal of becoming a fully fledge
lifestyle brand.
