Over 80 new labels present at children’s trade fair kleine fabriek

The next kleine fabriek, taking place January 13 and 14, promises lots of novelties. All the well-known brands from last shows, such as Jottum, Imps & Elfs, Room Seven and Simple Kids will be present again with their 2008 winter collections. Moreover the organization has again created space for new participants.

Blemish from Nicole Burges and Lily and the Funky Boys from designer Esther Loonen are two of the new Dutch brands that will be launched during kleine fabriek. Furthermore numerous foreign labels will take their first steps on the Dutch market by participating in the kleine fabriek. The internationalization of the children’s fair is continuing with the participation of newcomers like: Twin-Set Girl from Italy, Krista Lynggaard from Denmark, Maan from Belgium, Blutsbaby and Bellybutton from Germany, Caoutchouc from France, Twisted Twee from the United Kingdom and the dolls of Käthe Kruse from Germany.

With already 390 brands listed at the end of November, the final number of participants is not yet known: “We received an abundance of applications and are still very busy selecting brands that best fit the kleine fabriek. But our growth is a fact,” says Merel Bunnik (event producer). “Our challenge is to find the balanced mix of products and styles: the perfect blend of fashion and furniture, toys and accessories, funky and classic, basic and extravagant…” Now that the fair is growing it will take place in two halls of the RAI Amsterdam, with expanded opening hours (Sunday from 9:30 – 18:00 and Monday from 9:30 – 17:00 hours). “Our visitors need more time to view all the collections and to place their orders, especially when they come from abroad. We strive to offer people an inspiring two days in which they also have time to visit our mini.superstore and enjoy our fashion photo shoot and all the other extra’s we have programmed.” Time will also be won by visitor’s pre-registration. Through the kleine fabriek website, visitors can purchase entrance tickets for a reduced price, with which they can avoid the queue at the entrance.
