The Big C or what we call cancer is seemingly on the rise. World Cancer Day was observed on Monday and it is a day earmarked to raise awareness on the dreaded disease. There are several people succumbing to the critical ailment but there are some who have battled it and emerged as victors. One such story is of this youth from Bhopal, Sameer (name changed).
He was told about the disease by the doctor when he was in his first year of college. Others might get bogged down by such a devastating news but not him. He took the news on the chin and lived to share his inspiring story. Now 31, he left his hefty paying job to take help cancer patients by becoming their ray of hope.
