Time Is Running Out For Trapped Meghalya Miners As Rescue Workers Find Water Receding At A Spot

It has been more than ten days since 15 miners got trapped in a rat hole mine in Meghalya’s East Jaintia Hills district.

They have been feared trapped inside after water from the Lytein river went up on December 13.

Since then there has been no communication or contact with the men trapped inside.

Over a 100 personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are at the site, alongside the state police.
