We are facing one of the worst environmental disasters of modern times. Australia’s bushfire has single-handedly created catastrophic destruction, causing severe damage to life and property.
In such times, one social media influencer has generated over a million dollars in donations towards fighting Australian bushfires in record-breaking time.

The bushfires have wiped out over 400 million acres of land — almost the size of the Netherlands and is nowhere close to stopping. It has also claimed lives of over 500 animals, severely impacting the wildlife. This propelled an online influencer from Los Angeles to do something about it.
20-year old influencer Kaylen Ward (although she goes by Naked Philanthropist) — who is an online sex worker by profession — recently announced on her twitter announced that she would send a naked picture of hers to anyone who donates $10 or more to organisations that are trying to save Australia.

All she asked for is the donation and proof of payment, and the sender will be eligible to receive a nude image of hers right in his/her inbox as a DM.
Due to the overwhelming response received by her, she also has some people working for her who were cross-checking and verifying donations as well as sending the promised pictures.
She shared this post on January 4th, and within two days it managed to get $500,000 in just two days.
And today, she has crossed $ 1 million (approximately Rs 70 lakhs) in donations! She thanked everyone for their contributions on her twitter handle.
However, this feat came at a great personal cost to her. According to a post made by her, her Instagram handle got deactivated, even her parents disowned her for her acts. But it’s all worth it, according to her, as long as we save the koalas of Australia.
When it comes to donating for a cause online, several crowdfunding websites jump to mind. But this online influencer has truly devised a unique donation delivery model for an important cause that impacts all our lives.
