Brazil Super League Playoffs: Dante in semifinal, Murilo out

Brazilian volleyball Super league play-offs began two weeks ago and we already know first semifinals. Rio de Janeiro (RJX team) and Volei Futuro will fight for the medals.

The RJX (Dante) won Sesi (Sergio, Murilo, Rodrigão) by 3-2 in the first quarterfinal game and 3-2 in the second game ending the series with two victories. Sesi actual champion is out of the Super league!

The Volei Futuro (Ricardinho) beat Medley (Andre Heller) in first  game by 3-0 and the second game by 3-1 ending the series with two victories.

 

In the other quarter-finals we wait for the third game. Sky / Cimed (Bruninho, Gustavo) and Vivo/Minas (Marcelinho) are tied 1:1. The first match gained Sky / Cimed by 3-2 and the 2 match Vivo/Minas won by 3-2. The decisive match is going to be played on March 30 at the home of Sky / Cimed.


In the other quarter-final between Sada/Cruzeiro and BMG /Sao Bernardo with Giant Renan (2.17cm) is also tied. In the first meeting Sada/Cruzeiro won easy 3-0, but in second match there was surprised and Sada/Cruzeiro lost by 3-1. Third decisive match will be on March 30 in the house of Sada/Cruzeiro.

The end of Super League will be held on April 21 in Sao Paulo and will be broadcast live on TV Globo, the largest TV in the country. The Brazilian super league has shown to be one of the most competitive in the world. Brazil, a country with almost 200 million inhabitants, has volleyball as a national pride.
