New tag team champions were crowned tonight on Dynamite.
Hangman Page and Kenny Omega defeated SCU (Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian) in the opener of tonight’s AEW Dynamite. The finish came when Page pinned Kazarian with the buckshot lariat.
The Young Bucks came out to celebrate with Page and Omega after the match. Page left once they entered the ring and celebrated by himself through the crowd. Page has continunally shown disinterest in the Young Bucks, having left the The Elite recently.
Although the match aired tonight, the title change took place during yesterday’s Dynamite tapings on the Chris Jericho Rock ‘n’ Rager cruise ship.
This would mark the first time a title has changed hands in AEW. SCU became the first ever AEW Tag Team champions when they defeated the Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. and Fenix) in a tournament final back on the October 30 edition of Dynamite in Charleston, West Virginia.
