It is exactly one month before the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Wrestling will be held at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa, April 9-10.
Top stars from international wrestling have already qualified to compete including Olympic champion and three-time World champion Jordan Burroughs, three-time World champion Adeline Gray, 2015 World champion Kyle Snyder, 2012 Olympic champion Jake Varner, 2012 World champion Elena Pirozhkova, two-time World bronze medalist Andy Bisek, 2015 World champion Helen Maroulis, 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Coleman Scott, 2012 Olympic bronze medalist and 2008 World champion Clarissa Chun, two-time World medalist Justin Lester, 2005 World champion Iris Smith, 2015 World bronze medalists Leigh Jaynes-Provisor and James Green, plus so many other great wrestling champions.
Ticket sales are strong, ahead of the pace for the sold-out 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, which was also held at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Fans who wish to attend should order their tickets and make all travel and housing arrangements as soon as possible.
All-session tickets to the U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team Trials are available for purchase. All-session options include adult ($75), and youth (18 and younger, $50). VIP tickets are sold out. At this time, the total number of qualifiers through the #Road2IowaCity qualifying process is 205 wrestlers. This includes 63 men’s freestyle wrestlers, 65 Greco-Roman wrestlers, and 77 women’s freestyle wrestlers.

There are only three #Road2IowaCity Trials Qualifiers left, which will finalize the field for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
The next #Road2IowaCity Trials Qualifiers will be the NCAA Div. I Championships at Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y., March 17-19. The 2016 NCAA Div. I champion in each weight class qualifies to compete in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in both freestyle and Greco-Roman.
The final two #Road2IowaCity Trials Qualifiers are the Women’s University Nationals in Oklahoma City, Okla. (March 26) and Last Chance Trials Qualifier in Cedar Falls, Iowa (April 2-3).
